Exchange Program

The purpose is to provide international students with the opportunity of a practical training in Taiwan, an introduction to its science and technology development. The goals of the program are to introduce students to Taiwanese industrial context, and to initiate personal relationships that will better enable them to collaborate with foreign counterparts in the future.

- From 2 to 6 months, depends on international students’ practical needs.

- Dates: between May 1 and October 31.

- This program is meant for international students.

- The candidate must be enrolled in last year in his university at the moment of the application.

- Priority will be given to candidates already having contacts with Taiwanese companies.

        Iinternational students can either do research/internship at the Department or find their own internship companies. There are 2 research centers, and 15 labs at the Department which provide research/internship opportunities to more10 foreign students. For those students the Department will try to find internship opportunities with their research projects. Introductions to every center/lab/department and its key research/internship areas are shown the website of the Department

- Or a relevant organization should take in charge the round-trip air ticket between his university and Taiwan, and health insurance.

- Tries to find a training place or asks assistance to the contract university to find the training place if not having contacts with Taiwanese companies. Contact directly the director of center or adviser of lab

- Finds housing or ask the contract university to arrange housing.

- Gets a visa to Taiwan.
